What's Happening Tuesday?

Morning all
  why is it that when you need sleep the most  you just don't sleep?    Frustrating.    
I get The cast off today.  I'm sure it comes off as there are stitches that need come out  I'm hoping no more cast  but I suspect the way it feels   there's  a few weeks of cast in the future. 

Had a real great time with mom the weekend just past.   She was doing so well mentally   I stayed over Sunday to spend more time with her>  She has some sporatic dementia due to her advanced age (95) and some days shes really vague and not with it.   This weekend was good>  She helped us make jam and can peaches at my sisters.   She thinks she was a big help anyway and it was so great!!     Thank God for a hubby who understands my need to see mom as often as I can.  H loves her dearly too.

Have a great Tuesday everyone  Its only 6am here so I'm gonna pretend to go back to sleep for an hr.

Today I teach until 1:00.  I love my Tuesday and Thursday schedule because I have so far to walk from my office to class.  After class, I'm coming straight home and getting my house ready for the Friday Night Shindig.  I'm having friends over for food and talk.

Good morning Karen and all you other OFFers!

Karen, I am so sorry to read of your misfortune.  It almost made me want to cry for you (I am a softee).

I make plans, but then forget about what I planned.  I have to tell Mary my plans because she remembers everything.  She keeps telling me to program everything into my cell phone, but that makes too much sense.

I am making plans for two trips, without telling her.  So that I will have to program into my phone.  And my email.  We have already paid for 2 nights in Branson, I just have to book when we want to go.  I am going to look into extending it one day and make sure we see a couple of shows.  We were going to wait until March, but I think I will surprise her and schedule it for November.  The Osmonds will be doing their Christmas show.  I will have to get their tickets on line.  I also want to take her to San Antonio, maybe in February or so.  That I may just do on the spur of the moment.  Just all of a sudden pack a bag for both of us and get her in the car and go.  A friend of hers will watch the dogs any time for us.

So, that is my goal for today, see what I can do about the Branson trip.

Then tonight will be another rough night for me.  Will have two different earphones in my ears at once.  The Rangers on radio and Big Brother on TV.  I work way too hard.

Gee, George, sure hope you're able to get through that rough night at work. Hope they pay you well for that horrendous work load...LOL

Hurrah - I slept last nite for the first time since July 1st without any pills.   

Have the bed linens in the washer/dryer and cleaned the cat box.  Also had my wt. control oatmeal -- it's cool this morning and hot oatmeal sounded good.  Today I need to run some errands and make an appt to get the van serviced.   I am back on my 3 morning/week work schedule....just adding 1/2 hour to each of the 3 days so I will get 10 1/2 hrs per week......I am getting caught up on pd files, so no need to do the 4 day/wk.   Besides I like having my Tues/Thurs. off!!!

Got a good report at the foot Doc. yesterday and I can't believe how good my foot is FINALLY doing......hardly any pain now and walking w/o the cane part of the time.   Patience did pay off --- LOL.

Have a bunch of tomatoes to cook today and put into the freezer too.

I've always wanted to go to Branson on a bus trip, but it won't happen this year as I've already used my vacation time, plus two weeks more.

Oh Margo, that book I'm reading is called "Answer As a Man" by Taylor Caldwell - it was published in 1980 and it's really good.  Takes place back in the very early 1900's.   I buy a bunch of paperbacks when we have our rummage sale at church -- only 10 cents each.....then I keep them and put them back in the rummage sale the next time.   Helps our ladies group and I get some really good books to read.

Better get my hair fixed and put on some lipstick so I can go do errands. 

Hope Linda Spellman did okay with her knee surgery.....

morning OFF...well i took the car to auto zone to have it checked to see why the check engine light is on...again...this time it was diagnosed with the air pump is bad and also the gas cap has a leak...sooo now i need to take it to the mechanic and see if that IS whats wrong. seems like every time i take it to the garage they tell me its not that and they don't see anything wrong...so why in the heck is the check engine light on??? if the light is on it is an automatic failure for the e check!!! GRRRRRR

good news for rick...he got called for an interview at my work place!!! its tomorrw afternoon so keep your fingers crossed that he is hired!! its only part time but hey its money coming in...more than it is now...we went to the bank to see if his unemployment money was in and NOPE no money AGAIN!!! he is calling them to see why he hasn't gotten his 6 weeks of unemployment pay!!!!! so far all they tell him is to keep calling in on his scheduled day....makes one wonder what these people do....very frustrating to us.

also got approved to refinance my car!!! payments will now save me about $60.00 a month!!! i know some of you told me not to do it but i had to so we would make ends meet. i feel like a load of bricks have been lifted off my shoulders!!!

today it has been one year that i got my divorce!!! wow a year already!!! i have been so happy with the way things have turned out in my life!!! i am treated so good and loved so much...i have a job that pays more than i have ever made and i also have my own health insurance!!!! life is soooo good for me!!!

well i best get my butt in gear and see about what to plan for dinner...its either chicken or steak....or maybe the pork roast...yeah pork roast sounds good!!! maybe a candlelite dinner table to celebrate.... ;-)

 i was called into work early yesterday so i made 4 hours extra pay!!! enough to get my hair cut and also rick needs one too...so i will call and make us appointments to get it cut.

ok bored you enough with my ho-hum life so will get out of your hair....SMILE!!!! make someone feel better by seeing a nice smile!! :-) 

Good Morning All.

No bike ride this morning, got up too late......have to be out of the house by 6:45 or 7 the latest or it gets too hot when I'm peddling back at 8:15.  So I WOGGED on the treadmill (wogging is a combo of interval power walking and jogging)......UGH......so much more boring than riding but very effective!  I sweat like a beast.!  After my time on the treadmill I did 5 mins on the stepping machine.....feel it in the gluts!!   Good workout this morning!!

Matthew has a bit of an emergency to tell with and may have to travel a couple days to take care of it if it can't be resolved from here.  Timming stinks because I'm having surgery next week....

I cleaned some of  the windows and doors yesterday........Almost all the window and sliding glass doors are 8 ft tall so it took a long time to do the few I got done....I'm counting this as part of my upper body workout on my arms!  I hope to finish them today, or least get the master bed done.....then I'll have to do the outsides too.......that can wait till Saturday morning.

Lunch tomorrow with Carla and Gail......can't wait!!

Well I'm going to do some research to see if I can find cheap last minute tickets for Matthew just in case.

man I am all confused!!!!! I thought today was Monday..... But I lost a day it seems. I got home from Denver at 0130 this morning. Carl didnt come so fast as he called Delta and they told him I missed the flight from Atlanta!!!!!! No I didnt....... So I texted him on someelses phone cause mine was dead.
when we were taxing in. So he left home then. I had to wait for him for 40 minutes. Man was it hot.
Thankgod Starbucks was open......
I cant wait to meet Gail and Ruth tomorrow. Ill have about an hour drive to Tampa. But that is ok. I wont get lost caue of othe GPS!!!!!!
I have an appointment with the oncologist on Friday that I didnt know about. he called me to tell me that they ordered the shots I have to take in order to have this scan I need. So On Monday Ill probably be getting shots for 3 days. and I have to go there and be watched for about an hour after they give me the shot. I hope it wont be to much for me to take. I dont want to get sick.

Even tho your trip wasn't perfect, it still sounds wonderful !!
 I am at work, horribly busy but I had to take a break before I burst into tears.  It is just one of those dyas where I feel like I am on the hampster wheel spinning my wheels.. Oh crap,, I have to go, have a great day..blessings
